VA-Fukishima
I have a track called "Cylindrical Mirror" out now on the Presqu'ile Records compilation "VA - Fukushima!". 100% of the the sales of this release will benefit Japan Society’s Japan Earthquake Relief Fund.

Greg Kelley (nmperign, Heathen Shame, The BSC) and Bill Nace (x.o.4, Vampire Belt, Ceylon Mange, Northampton Wools) first played together in Anna Rampage with Paul Flaherty and Ben Karetnick in 2006. Since that time they have performed in trios with Jake Meginsky and Chris Corsano, in a quartet with Flaherty and Corsano and last year, at the behest of Eli Kezsler and Ashley Paul, they began playing as a duo. Their first performance was at the Kezsler/Paul wedding reception in July of 2011. Utilizing an array of extended instrumental techniques, amplification and effects pedals, Kelley and Nace have allowed themselves an extensive palette to work with and set no boundaries as to where it will bring them. Delicate sound fields may slowly unfold only to then disintegrate into waves of tumult. Tumult may then bore itself into a maze of soft refrigerators...

Matt Krefting is a writer and musician living in Easthampton, MA. He formed the Son of Earth trio with Aaron Rosenblum and John Shaw in early 2000, played in the short-lived but much-loved group The Believers, released a CD of rock songs, plays in Idea Fire Company, and has been making solo tape music since he was 17. Not to mention a number of other interests and collaborations! He has focused on tape music for the past two years, and this tour marks the first time he’s taken this music outside of the Pioneer Valley. His music focuses on the decay and erosion of beauty and the impossibility of knowledge.

3/13/12: Soft Delete/Purgative Dryness at Cafe Fixe
I'll be performing "Soft Delete/Purgative Dryness" for amplified trumpet and pre-recorded electronics tomorrow night at 8pm as part of Non-Event's Experimental Coffee House series at Café Fixe , 1642 Beacon Street (Washington Square), Brookline, MA 02445, 617-879-2500. $5.
This is just a few doors down from The Publick House, so your possibilities are manifold.
"Soft Delete/Purgative Dryness" is a two-part piece exploring themes of philosophical and aesthetic absence, including the potential absence of meaning and content. The solo work will feature amplified but otherwise acoustic trumpet and some pre-recorded electronic elements. It was premiered in Chicago in December 2011. Special thanks to Lampo for instigating the piece and presenting the premiere.
